What we do

Our mission is to help people with special needs find funding for products, services and home modifications using pre-qualified CAPS (Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist) builders/contractors. In addition, we also provide sources for transportation services, mobility vehicles and equipment, medical supplies, therapists and other helpful products for the disabled. We pre-qualify contractors and service providers through extensive research and customer feedback to ensure we are providing the best disability referral program available.

What is CAPS?

The NAHB Remodelors Council, in collaboration with the AARP, NAHB Research Center, and NAHB Seniors Housing Council, developed this program to provide comprehensive, practical, market-specific information about working with older and maturing adults to remodel their homes for aging-in-place.

Our service providers and affiliates benefit by having direct access to customers who need and want their services and products. Also, our system is designed to educate the customer and define specifically what it is that they require which is very beneficial to service and product suppliers. In addition to providing qualified leads we have developed a library of information available only to our member contractors including best practices for handicap housing modifications, superior disability products, check lists, contract templates, etc.
